Gold for MSU in PECIPTA 2017
It's a Gold for innovative animation technique from the Faculty of Information Sciences & Engineering (FISE) of Management & Science University (MSU)
Supporting faculty research and pedagogy is part of the Management and Science University (MSU) commitment to innovation and excellence in teaching and learning. At the International Conference and Exposition on Inventions by Institutions of Higher Learning (PECIPTA) 2017, the University bagged a Gold and two Bronze.
The Gold was won for An Innovative Animation Technique to Commercially Produce “Super Squad The Movie 2015” by
Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE)
lecturer Dr Musab A.M. Ali et al. Bringing in the Bronze were “An Innovative 8-in-1 Instant Herbal Coffee as Halal Health Beverage” from the
Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS)
and “An Innovative Ready-To-Eat Halal Nasi Lemak To Go” from the
School of Graduate Studies.
Making its rounds nationwide since 2001, PECIPTA was held in the state of Terengganu this year. The biennial programme organized by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia with partner institutions showcases innovative products and services from the nation’s higher learning institutions. PECIPTA 2017 attracted over 400 researchers as well as 10 international inventors.
PECIPTA’s 2017 theme of “Nurturing Entrepreneurs Through Education, Industry, Technology and Social Innovation” aligns with the Management and Science University (MSU) vision for graduate entrepreneurs. Management and Science University (MSU) is the Most Entrepreneurial Private University 2016 as proclaimed by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. Management and Science University (MSU) President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid is the newest Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Of The Year. Management and Science University (MSU) also recently hosted the national launch of Bulan Keusahawanan Siswa 2017.
Entrepreneurship is offered at Management and Science University (MSU) not only as dedicated Bachelor (Honours) and Diploma programmes, but, for the creativity and inventiveness it encapsulates and the competencies it cultivates, also embedded across all other programmes of study at the University.
