Australia's Malaysia Fest 2017 treated to cultural showcase by the visiting students on the international mobility program of Management and Science University (MSU)
Celebrating common traits of humanity can be an antidote to division. Promoting unity across cultural divides, students of Management and Science University (MSU) stepped out in the universal languages of dance and fashion in Sydney, Australia.
Fulfilling an invitation to perform at the Malaysia Festival 2017 in Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, the MSUrians coincided their intercultural dance and fashion show with the Management and Science University (MSU) Global Leadership Program (GLP) to Australia. Malaysia Festival (MFest) is Australia’s largest Malaysian cultural event, a massive event attracting 38,000 visitors annually, whilst Global Leadership Programme (GLP) delivers the Management and Science University (MSU) commitment to facilitating international exposure for all MSUrians.
Experiences abroad form an integral part of experiential learning at Management and Science University (MSU), designed to aid its students’ development into engaged citizens of a globalizing world. MFest 2017, for example, celebrated Malaysia’s 60 years of unity across 60 years of diversity, which the students presented to the international audience of Sydney in a colourful showcase of embracing diversity in a culture of inclusiveness.
The cultural dances and fashion parade forming part of the Malaysia Festival 2017 in Darling Harbour’s Tumbalong Park, Sydney, Australia were performed by students from the Management and Science University (MSU) Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP). Opportunities for international mobility are presented across all programmes of study at Management and Science University (MSU). Delivered through the Global Mobility Programme (GMP), Global Leadership Programme (GLP), and Global Internship Programme (GIP), they leverage the best of an intensive academic curriculum to provide an effective education full of learning and novel experiences.
