MSU Hosts National Launch of Bulan Keusahawanan Siswa 2017


Launch convened university students and industry supporters of undergraduate entrepreneurship, at Management and Science University (MSU)

With its theme “Ignite Your Entrepreneurship Passion”, Bulan Keusahawanan Siswa 2017 aims to increase entrepreneurial literacy and competencies in the nation’s undergraduates. The national undergraduate entrepreneur program launched a host of opportunities, with over 150 activities including Entrepreneurship Incubation & Workshop, Entrepreneurship Competition, Entrepreneurship Talk & Seminar, Entrepreneurship Showcase & Carnival, and Business Pitching & Simulation.

Management and Science University (MSU) President, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, encouraged a paradigm shift from job seeker to job creator, as well as a stepping up from the local business scene to the international stage. On exhibit at the launch were arrays of undergraduate entrepreneur products. The launch also paraded runway fashion designed by students of Management and Science University (MSU) in collaboration with UEDA College of Fashion, Japan.

The launch of Bulan Keusahawanan Siswa 2017 was officiated by the Deputy Minister from the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) Malaysia. Dignitaries besides MoHE officials included the Head of Entrepreneur Unit and Public Private Research Network (PPRN), the Chief Director of the Department of Polytechnic Education, vice-chancellors of public and private institutions of higher education, and CEOs. Industry partners in the international guests list counted the President of UEDA College of Fashion, Japan, as well as the President of Japan World Fashion Brands.



Named The Most Entrepreneurial Private University 2016 by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) Malaysia early this year, Management and Science University (MSU) aims to extend human capital development beyond graduateship. The University cultivates development of undergraduate entrepreneurial talent across the full spectrum of its curricular disciplines. Dedicated academic programmes comprising the Bachelor in Entrepreneurship (BETR) and Diploma in Entrepreneurship (DETR) by Management and Science University (MSU) are offered through its Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP). The Management and Science University (MSU) entrepreneur ecosystem comprises fashion-merchandiser MODAWORLD, event-planner Tepak Sireh, agricultural business management Agro Business, International Centre for Halal Studies (ICHLAS), and Leadership and Entrepreneurship Advancement Institute (LEAD).
