MSU confers two honorary degrees at 22nd Convocation Ceremony
Honorary doctorates in Finance and Investment, Education Management and Leadership, presented to prominent national and international figures by Management and Science University (MSU)
Management and Science University (MSU) conferred two honorary degrees at its 22nd Convocation Ceremony held at the University’s main campus in Shah Alam.
An Honorary Doctorate in Finance and Investment was conferred to Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman in tribute of his contributions throughout a 37-year service building national investment company Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB). The corporate icon described as the consistent bearer of good news to over 12 million unit holders is the man behind the delivery of cumulative income and bonuses worth billions since 1998, with his steering of PNB leading to an almost seven-fold increase to the company coffers since he took to its helms at the height of the 1997/98 Asia Financial Crisis. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hamad is also the mind behind PNB’s assets growth and expanded operation to the world’s financial capitals. His managing of the organisation within its mandate for a more distributed sharing of the nation’s corporate wealth and bridging of the income disparity gaps between the social levels superseded a purely commercial aim to emerge a social entrepreneurship meeting its societal objectives.Management and Science University (MSU) wins Most Entrepreneurial Private University 2016 title at Ministry of Higher Education Award
