“Paalam, hope you enjoyed the experience”
Best wishes to students returning to the Philippines’ University of Santo Tomas on conclusion of their Global Internship Programme at Management and Science University (MSU)
Management and Science University (MSU) recently bade farewell to five students from the Philippines’ University of Santo Tomas (UST) at the conclusion of their Global Internship Programme (GIP) in Malaysia.
The five, from UST’s Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Medical Technology were Harvie M. Barcellano, Nehemiah Baldlong Mula, Jean Nicole Angelo, Adrienne Valerie D. Dalina, and Calixto Jhovenay. They had been integrated into the biomedical science programme at the Management and Science University (MSU) Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS).
Sharing light moments at their send-off by MSU President, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid, the UST students were full of praises for their global internship experience at MSU.
Harvie M. Barcellano described his learning experiences on the MSU GIP as beyond expectation. He said the Global Internship Programme provided him with the holistic growth that students need. Nehemiah Baldlong Mula had chosen MSU because it is a melting pot of international students, and for the focus as well as the training to become an excellent researcher. Jean Nicole Angelo, who said her MSU experience was out of the book, appreciated the new knowledge which she intends to apply back in the Philippines. The fact that she did not feel homesick because everyone was very welcoming prompted her to encourage future participants of the MSU Global Internship Programme to treasure the new friendships they are bound to make. Naming MSU’s focus on building students’ global competitiveness as leading her choice of the MSU Global Internship Programme, Adrienne Valerie D. Dalina knew it would be a great opportunity to expand her knowledge of biomedical science, and learn a lot about contributing to medicinal research she did. Calixto Jhovenay discovered her passion for research on the programme, and chose meeting co-students as well as the lecturers at MSU as her best moments throughout her experience learning about Malaysian culture.
