Theme taking University to the next frontier in halal studies and research


Management and Science University (MSU) has organized its 9th Symposium on Halal.

The 9th International Medical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical, and Health Sciences Symposium (iMPaCHS) is the 2017 edition of the formerly named Medical and Health Sciences Symposium (MHSS).

The 2017 iMPaCHS carried the theme of Exploring Innovations in Halal Research – the Next Frontier.

Management and Science University (MSU) President, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, urged MSUrians to look into creating a global standard for halal and making the link between applied research and commercialization.

Partner universities of Management and Science University (MSU) worldwide contributed their findings to the 9th Symposium through e-posters.

The keynote address was delivered by the Malaysian Armed Forces Health Service Division Director of Pharmacy.

The 9th iMPaCHS was jointly organized by the School of Pharmacy (SPH), the International Medical School (IMS), and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS).

Management and Science University (MSU) undertakes the promotion and development of halal services and products comprising especially halal pharmaceuticals and halal cosmetics, primarily through its International Centre for Halal Studies (ICHLAS).
