Walk For Syria raises solidarity for world peace, supports international aid of Syrian refugee crisis through Management and Science University (MSU)

With destruction and displacement in the frontlines, the world’s possibly worst humanitarian crisis in over seven decades is counting dire emergencies. Management and Science University (MSU) steps out in reflective compassion at the MSU Walk For Syria 2017.

Led by Management and Science University (MSU) President, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, the MSU Walk For Syria 2017 was begun with the release of doves into flight. The congregation then walked five kilometres, raising not only a buzz for the cause’s profile but also personal reflections on comparative comforts and privileges against the dangers and difficulties of global conflicts. Such reflections produce the powerful understanding important to building empathy as well as leadership in serving vulnerable communities such as the poor and the victimized.

The refugees’ need for solace may not be as relatively easily met as their priority need for food, shelter, and safety, but is still critical to their long-term survival. The main aim of the Management and Science University (MSU) Walk For Syria cause is thus to return at least some semblance of normalcy to the lives of displaced Syrians through provisions for regular healthcare and education.

The Management and Science University (MSU) Walk For Syria 2017 raised RM20,000 to be channeled through mission-involved NGOs.
